Aspiring Chairs Development Programme for Non-Executive Directors

The completion of this successful three-module programme saw Non-Executive Directors from NHS East of England and NHS East Midlands undertake a variety of challenging modules and master classes in order to hone their skills. The nine-month programme provided focused, inspiring development, directly relevant to the challenges faced by NHS Chairs, but in a very manageable way, with recognition of the time constraints faced by many NEDs. Practical Action Learning Set sessions have ensured these NEDs have built a useful network of relationships with the other attendees. Already a number of the participants have become Chairs or are considering applying for the role.

Foresight Partnership’s sixth birthday was celebrated in style at the DimT, More London. Past and current clients joined us for drinks and oriental canapés whilst enjoying spectacular views overlooking Tower Bridge. The successful event was an opportunity to meet our Directors and Associates and network with other leaders from across public services.

Effective Governance Models for GP Commissioning Consortia

This project has been initiated by the National Leadership Council, and is supported by the Department of Health. The aim is to generate a spectrum of governance models to inform GPs as they develop local arrangements. To facilitate this, the NLC have asked Foresight Partnership, supported by King’s Patient Safety and Service Quality Research Centre, (authors of The Healthy NHS Board: Principles for Good Governance') to look at ways in which these principles of good governance might apply and be adapted to GP Commissioning arrangements.
