National Leadership Council Extension work – GP Consortia
The National Leadership Council has commissioned Foresight Partnership to extend the work on the Healthy NHS Board to take account of emerging new policy.
The challenge for this work will be to ensure that emerging GP consortia are supported to give well-informed, appropriate attention to ensuring that the new arrangements are effectively governed.
In much the same way as The Healthy NHS Board was ‘co-created’ through an intensive process of engagement within the NHS, it is proposed that models for applying the principles to GP commissioning will emerge from a wide process of engagement and debate within the GP community.
