We have worked with a range of public bodies, designing and supplying online evaluation tools, analysing the results and presenting written and verbal feedback to whole boards and individual members.
The suite of board evaluation tools we have to offer are:
Whole board self-assessment
- An online self-assessment survey completed by all board members. The summary report provides a view on how the Board as a whole is currently performing against best practice indicators.
- Boards may also compare their assessments with similar boards.
- This survey may be repeated annually or bi-annually. The reports produced will provide comparative information to track board performance over-time
Stakeholder survey of board effectiveness
- A short online survey for completion by key internal and external stakeholders designed to give the board a view on stakeholder views of their effectiveness as a board.
- Public Service Boards find this independent perspective of their effectiveness particularly valuable.
360 degree surveys for individual board members
- Individual board members receive confidential feedback on how they are performing against a consistent set of best practice indicators and competences.
- The 360 degree surveys have been tailored to the specific roles of Chair, Chief Executive, Executive and Non Executive Directors
- Confidential reports are prepared for each director, supplemented by one to one feedback by an experienced and accredited consultant to assist the director in interpreting the report. These are designed to have a developmental focus.
